The following call is for visual artists, presented by Fain Family Foundation ("Owners") with support provided by Artlink Inc. The deadline to submit is Thursday, May 22, 2025 (local Arizona time).
BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW
Owners are interested in working with an artist or artist team to creatively address an exterior architectural feature located on a prominent corner of Glassford HIll Rd. and Centre Court in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Project: Prescott Valley Entertainment District Welcome Mural RFQ
Address: 2985 Centre Court, Prescott, AZ 86314
Request: This request for qualifications is for artists, artist teams, or creative individuals to submit from their portfolio that are representative of their ability to compose, design, and execute large scale murals. An artist or artist team will be commissioned to produce an original mural based on the quality of their previous work.
Budget: $35,700 including artist fees, materials, and contingencies. This excludes the cost of scaffolding or lift rental to be secured by artist with the cost reimbursed.
Overview: Prescott Valley, once called “Lonesome Valley,” is now home to more than 50,000 people, surpassing Prescott as the largest town in the central Arizona region. Historically ranch country, the first phase of growth was affordable workforce housing, then came regional service employment, retail, and medical facilities.
Now in its third phase, Prescott Valley is working to build its core, an arts and entertainment district at the heart of the community. The entertainment district is already home to the event center, movie theater, restaurants, and hotels (another under construction now), and includes multi-family living, with more underway to add live-in vibrancy.
Owners seeks to commission an original mural artwork at a major intersection in the Town that welcomes guests to this energized and family-friendly district, and helps inspire this next phase of community growth.
The Installation: The mural area is approximately 28.5’ tall, 27.5’ wide, centering on a 3D architectural "tower" feature, providing a total of 1190 square feet. The artist will have the ability to identify a painted color palette on the adjacent walls to complement the mural artwork.
Works must be able to stand up to changes in weather and endure harsh temperatures (direct sun).
The mural can be made in any genre including being wholly abstract, figurative, landscape-based, or any combination thereof, and should enhance the design of the building, embrace a sense of community and be composed of bold, bright and uplifting imagery. Incorporating inspiration from the site, a dynamic sense of space, color and composition are all greatly encouraged. The mural will further signify and celebrate the growing center of the city, and be welcoming to visitors, patrons, families, and Prescott Valley residents.
Please refer to the reference materials here.
Artist(s) will provide proof of general liability insurance.
Artist(s) will provide licensing and reproduction rights, and permit photography of artworks, including use in promotional materials. All reasonable effort will be made to credit the artist in promotions and when communicating with media.
CAPABILITIES
This request for qualifications is to identify an individual Arizona based artist or artist team. The artist(s) selected from this call will design and implement significant art features for this wall. Artists whose aesthetics are bright, colorful, and complementary to the cultural themes are encouraged to apply.
SUBMISSION DETAILS
Eligibility: All Arizona artists, designers, creative individuals, and teams are encouraged to apply. Artists with a connection to the Prescott Valley area are encouraged to apply, however this connection is not required.

The following call for artists of all practices is presented by FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel and the FOUND:RE Contemporary art program, with support provided by Artlink Inc., for a new exhibition cycle entitled “Hot American Summer.” The deadline to submit is Friday, May 23 by 5:00 p.m. (local Arizona time).
PROJECT
Exhibition: “Hot American Summer”
Address: FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel at 1100 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004
Request: “Hot American Summer” is an open call to artists seeking art that reflects the timeless, nostalgic essence of summer in America — from small-town parades and coastlines to dusty roads and sunlit fields. Through this exhibition, we hope to capture the warmth, simplicity, and enduring beauty of summer memories.
OVERVIEW
FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel regularly presents exhibitions based on a 360-degree view of arts and culture that includes all the traditional mediums of art such as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, fiber art, printmaking, etc., as well as video art, film, fashion, performance, music and much more!
For “Hot American Summer", FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel will use the Gallery and first floor space to showcase the works that are selected. This diverse survey embraces different styles and mediums of art in both 2D and 3D works. All the works selected for exhibitions are for sale and will be represented on the gallery website for purchase by hotel patrons and art collectors from across the nation.
“Hot American Summer" hopes to capture the spirit of a classic, nostalgic summer — think road trips down old highways, melting ice cream cones, backyard barbecues, fireworks, beach days, and long golden evenings. We want to showcase the warmth, freedom, and timeless memories that make American summers so iconic.
BACKGROUND
FOUND:RE Contemporary is a premier commercial gallery space in the heart of downtown Phoenix. It represents both emerging and established artists through a regular series of exhibitions and special events that happen in conjunction with the art programming at FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel.
